Local AI and Cloud AI: Choosing the Right Tool
October 11, 2026
Why Worker Zero aims to support more than one AI provider.
Some work is best handled with predictable scripts and no AI model at all. Other tasks benefit from a small local model, while difficult coding or analysis may need a more capable remote service.
Worker Zero aims to route jobs according to capability, cost, permissions and privacy needs rather than forcing every task through one provider.
External AI access should require clear configuration and authorisation, with API charges disclosed by the provider.
The goal is flexibility, not a promise that every model can run on every device.
